Pay rates above industry standards

Victoria

Instructor rates from $35 to $45/hr (Victoria location) for licensed instructors, depending on experience, aptitude and availability. 

Lead instructor rates may be higher for those with a proven record, A/O certification and able to independently run classes and supervise others.

Hiring for parking lot work (weekends only, $35 to $45/hr) and traffic classes (flexible hours, $35/hr plus  vehicle allowance if using your own motorcycle).

Requirements

– ICBC Motorcycle Instructor License required

– A/O certification an asset but not required

Vancouver

Traffic class and road test instructors wanted. $30/hr plus vehicle allowance. Weekday and weekend work available, flexible hours.

Requirements

– ICBC Motorcycle Instructor License.

– Must have your own motorcycle and ability to transfer/upload videos to youtube.

Urban Rider Sponsorship Opportunities

Urban Rider will consider supporting ideal candidates through the certification process. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

A potential motorcycle instructor must:

1. Hold a full class 6 motorcycle license for a minimum of 3 years.

2. Have an acceptable driving record (ICBC sets limits on the number and types of violations that an instructor may have on their recent driving record.

3. Pass a criminal record check and vulnerable sector check, as you may be working with youth.

4. Complete a pre-approval application and medical evaluation.

INSTRUCTOR COURSE

The instructor certification course takes 2 weeks and costs $5400. 

Urban Rider may sponsor suitable job candidates for the instructor course.  

Sponsoring a candidate means that we pay all or some of the certification course fee, in return for a contract committment to work a predetermined number of hours with Urban Rider over the next three years.
